All Jammed Up Over Jamberry Nails: My Jamberry Nail Wrap Review

If you have any social media accounts, you have no doubt seen some posts about Jamberry nails.  Being a bit of a social butterfly, I have seen many Jamberry nail photos and advertisements. I never really gave it much of a thought, other than 'oh, those are cute'. I just kept scrolling and going along my merry way. Recently a friend hosted an online Jamberry party. 'What the heck', I thought. Let's give it a go. So I attended this virtual party, while sitting in my pajamas and sipping some tea. It was actually great fun for this busy Mom, who doesn't get out much these days. It was a girls night out - but in! I did not have to stress over preparing snacks, or cleaning the house. I just sat on my bum, and partied with some great friends and enjoyed my tea. To my surprise I won a game in the party, and needed to provide my address! I was so excited! Well, you know me - I love the 'free'!
I adore getting mail! I was so surprised
 my prize arrived so fast!

Before we get started I would like to say that I DO NOT sell Jamberry nail wraps, nor have I hosted an online party for them (who knows, I may in the future though). I just attended played along and chatted with some friends, and some new friends I made at the party.

The 'Mom's' Manicure

I am a girly girl. I love things that sparkle and I like looking my best when I can. In the past spending a fortune to keep my nails done. Acrylic manicures were a staple for me, costing about $45 for a basic french tip. Plus any additional designs were an extra charge. The downside is my nails grow long on their own, and acrylics were horrible on my actual nails. I won't lie, I enjoyed the pampering. Though the smell of a nail salon is horrid, and I am sure the fumes are most likely harmful. After the birth of my son, I started painting my own nails. A cheaper alternative and a better buy for my budget. A budget that was now being spent on baby items. Boy do those baby items start to pile up as far as cost too!

Painting my own nails was great while my son was little. With an infant it is easy to steal away an hour to make sure your nails are dry before touch anything. Flash forward to toddler years. There is no time, there is no making sure those nails are completely dry. Constantly cleaning, wiping, sweeping - boys are messy little boogers! Anyway despite my best efforts, I have been rocking the 'Mom manicure'! Ugh, it even sounds bad. You know - the 'I'm tired, paints half worn off, chipping, looks like a two year old painted your nails' look! YES, that look! That is the Mom look. Not that anyone is judging the Mom the look, we all have sympathy. Trust me I can absolutely sympathize with not having enough 'me time'! After my recent attempt at manicuring my nails myself, I was done. I was just going to rock the clear base coat for a while.

Despite long natural nails, this is always what day
two of the 'Mom Manicure' looks like.

My Prize From The Jamberry Party Arrived

I never gave much thought to what the prize I had won was. Realistically I thought it would only be a nice card, with a promo code in it. After all OPI has never sent me a prize. To my surprise, there was a sheet of Jamberry nail wraps, a nice card and handwritten note from the Jamberry nail consultant. Very sweet and it traveled over 1,500 miles to get to me! Arriving much faster than I had expected.

Having recently painted my nails, I needed to get that 'Mom' manicure off, before I took these Jamberry nail wraps for a spin. Admittedly, I was skeptical! Sure my friend that hosted the party had been posting some awesome photos, with amazing looking nails. In the back of my mind I thought I may have bitten off more than I could chew. I am horribly uncoordinated and accident prone after all.
So simple to use. Cut in half, heat and apply!

Included with my sheet of Jamberry nail wraps was a complete set of step by step instructions! They were simple and easy to follow! Most of the items needed to apply the nails are already in your home! All you need to apply Jamberry nails are:
Despite being old, and over used,
my hairdryer worked great!
  • Scissors
  • Blow dryer or heat gun
  • Rubbing alcohol (I used nail polish remover)
  • Cuticel pusher
  • Nail file

Simple as using what you already have in your beauty arsenal! If you are just starting out with manicures, and basic beauty items - most of the items needed can be found cheap!

Jamberry Nails ~ Pro's

Seriously the best home manicure I have ever done!

Oh, you thought I would give you a tutorial? Nope, those are a dime a dozen honey! I won't waste your, or my time with that. In all honesty tutorials are not needed for a product that is so easy to use! Instead I want to talk about why I am now and forever more a fan of Jamberry Nails. The Jamberry nails consultant Kyrsti, has been great! I asked a bunch of questions before I put them on. Out of fear I would make a mistake. She had no problems answering me, and she wasted no time answering my question. Much faster response than I would get out of most companies. It was also great that she followed through and sent the prize. I asked for a sample of lipstick (I will leave out the name of the DS company) over 6 months ago, still no sign of it. So my consultant is awesome follows through, and answers promptly!
Unbelievably fun designs, I would have paid
a fortune for in the salon!

Let's me stop wasting time and get down to what you want to know. What are the pro's of using Jamberry nail wraps:

  • Perfect Manicure in 10 minutes
  • No smudging
  • No drying time
  • Protect your natural nails
  • Cheaper than acrylic and gel nails
  • No costly upkeep
  • Perfect for a busy Mom or anyone with a busy lifestyle
  • Lasts two weeks
  • Does not come off when doing dishes
  • Budget saver

These are just a few of the pro's to using Jamberry nails! As a Mom I am always doing dishes, and the old fashioned way. While I may dream of having a dishwasher, the truth of the matter is I have dishpan hands! Being a stay at home Mom, I do dishes at least three times a day. So normally my manicures do not last through the first round of dishes on any given day. Instantly the polish starts to chip and peal. Not a very pretty manicure once I get the dishes done. So in a way, it's like wasting money buying polish just to wash it down the drain with the dishwater.

When I used to get acrylics or gel nails, I needed a fill in every two weeks. Now as you can imagine I had 'my salon'. They did (still do) beautiful work, but they were pricey. So when fill in time came around that was another $18 if I just got french tips. When I started with the colored gel nails, things got way more expensive and fill ins were $30. So every two weeks was getting super expensive! That stopped of course after my son was born and my budget focus was on diapers, wipes, and cute little outfits for him.

So sticking with Jamberry nails I will be saving a fortune in the long run over acrylics or gel nails. Plus it will save my sanity a little over polishing my nails. Nothing worse than taking the time to apply 2-3 coats of polish just to have it messed up in the first hour!

Jamberry Nails ~ Final Verdict

I'm hooked! Totally loving these Jamberry nail wraps! Already building up a wish list, and choosing my favorites for my next manicure! Honestly with long nails, you can't even tell it is not a professional manicure! My fiance' asked me where I got my nails done! Right here at home while sipping on my coffee!

Some of the designs are to die for gorgeous, and would cost you big bucks in a salon! There are Disney nails, Mom and me and even mixed mani's!  Even if you are not a 'girly girl' there are nails for you too! From sports themes to hunting there is something for everyone! Plus as a Mom I like to help and lift up other Moms too! So next time someone invites you to a Jamberry virtual party you may just win something and fall in love with Jamberry nails!

The breakdown is simple, if you go with the buy three sheets and get one free - the cost is less than $3.00 PER MANICURE! I don't know about you, but I do not know of a single salon than can beat those prices! Gorgeous manicure under $3.00 a pop, even if I decided to change my design every week that is still the cheapest option out there!

Now you know you can get a beautiful manicure for under $3.00. Even if you do not have the items you need to apply them now. All those items can be purchased for much less than going to the salon for a full set! Imagine all the money you will now have to get out of the house and do things with the kids, since you are saving a bundle using Jamberry Nails!
Still holding on days later, after countless chores,
dishes, and playing outside with the kids!

If you still find that you are skeptical, then by all means attend a virtual party with Jamberry! Who knows you may just be the next winner, and get hooked from a free sample like me!
